May the Fourth be with You: Beginner Stained Glass
In a galaxy not so far away, a 4-hour training awaits those called to the ancient and luminous craft of stained glass. Under guided instruction, initiates will learn the foundational skills of this art while forging their own one-of-a-kind, Star Wars–inspired sun catcher—an object worthy of any collection in the Outer Rim.
This training is designed for those with little to no prior knowledge of the craft, though all beings are welcome to join the ranks. As the Force guides your hands, you may discover a passion for this radiant art form. Those who choose to continue their journey can further hone their abilities through advanced trainings or independent practice, growing ever stronger in their mastery.

*Stained glass workshops are very popular and often fill quickly. Please register only if you plan to attend. Refunds and transfers to a different class date are granted on a very limited, case-by-case basis.*
Students will also have access to our "scrap glass" bins, but if they wish to provide their own stain glass, they should bring it along with them. Students are encouraged to check out the glass available from Kokomo Opalescent Glass, but it can also be purchased at Hobby Lobby or from various websites.
If students would like crystals or beads to hang off the bottom of their suncatcher they should bring those to the class. Crystals can be purchased online or locally at Hobby Lobby in the jewelry section. Crystals and beads should be kept to 1 inch or smaller.
Students ages 12 and older are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by an adult who is willing to assist as needed. The assisting adult may attend at no charge if they are helping the minor only. Adults who wish to create their own piece must register and pay as a student.
Closed-toe shoes are required for all participants.
Prescription glasses or reading glasses are recommended for those with vision needs but are not required.
Students may bring their own safety glasses and gardening or safety gloves (thick, protective gloves—thin plastic gloves are not permitted). These items are optional and only necessary if you prefer not to use the shared safety equipment provided. Safety glasses and gloves are available at most home improvement stores.
Participants are welcome to bring a snack or non-alcoholic beverage or visit Lexis’ next door.
Safety is our top priority. All students and assisting adults must be able to listen to and follow instructions to ensure a safe and successful class experience. Anyone unable or unwilling to follow instructions—particularly safety guidelines—will be asked to leave SHAK immediately without a refund.
